The Requirement
We are after a Financial Controller or CFO on an interim basis for an urgent requirement for a client organisation in the throws of establishing a national presence and will become a leader in their category once launched. This role is to continue the work of the initial person who is unable to commit further to the level of work being undertaken.
What we're after
You'll be a qualified accountant who has worked as a Financial Controller or hands-on CFO in a large environment in an establishment or change environment, and know the nuances of this type of environment. You'll have extensive experience in managing both process and staff, and be able to pivot on a pin as needed! You will need experience either working in the public sector, or having been involved in funding with the public sector - this is a requirement for this role.
The organisation and status
The organisation is in establishment phase so all hands are "on deck" to get things up and running! Once established, this will be one of the biggest operators in its category, so experience in this type of environment is essential. Your role will be to focus on getting things operating to an optimum level and supporting the new CFO once they commence in a few months time.
What you've done to date?
You'll have operated at a minimum at Financial Controller level, preferably at CFO level, be hands on, but understand operational and strategic aspects of this type of role. Experience in the public sector is essential as is an understanding the Government funding model across sectors such as education, health, social services, social housing, or infrastructure.
