About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and ensure the smooth and accurate processing of a complex payroll for a large workforce spread across New Zealand. This role requires a highly organised professional who can manage payroll-related queries, lead a payroll administration team, and ensure full compliance with payroll regulations. It is essential to have Chris21 experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and efficiently - pay everyone accurately and on time, every time.
- Prepare, maintain, and review records for pay runs.
- Conduct end-of-month processing and reconciliations.
- File and reconcile IRD returns.
- Address internal and external payroll queries in a professional manner.
- Oversee a small payroll team and assist with payroll-related inquiries.
About You:
- Experience: At least 5 years of NZ payroll experience with proficiency in Chris 21, and demonstrated ability within a high volume, complex pay run.
- Sound knowledge and practical application of payroll legislation.
- Communication and superior customer service: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on providing excellent service.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with a team and collaborate across the wider business.
- Outstanding time management and problem-solving abilities: ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous with data entry and maintaining payroll integrity.
