The role itself
You will take ownership of defined areas of financial management and provide analysis and insight to support business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Month-end, accruals, allocations and variance analysis
- Budgeting, forecasting and corporate planning
- Management and financial reporting
- Financial modelling, scenario analysis and business cases
- Contract reviews and commercial analysis
- Preparing financial commentary and presenting insights to stakeholders
- Supporting Finance Business Partners and General Accounting teams
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting
About you
You will bring:
- 8+ years' finance and accounting experience, including 3+ years in FP&A, Finance Business Partnering or financial modelling
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Relevant finance qualification such as CA, CPA, CWA, M.Com, MBA Finance or equivalent
- Experience with ERP or financial reporting systems; Oracle EPM, Cognos, Hyperion or MicroStrategy would be advantageous
- Retail or similarly complex business experience would be beneficial
- You must be a NZ Citizen or permanent resident (no Work Visa's accepted)
