About Us:
All of us in the team have been active in the recruitment sector for between 15 and 40+ (shhh….) years, so have a wealth of experience to share! Having prior mutual connections through other companies,
Talentnow was established 18 years ago, and has operated since then very successfully, having pioneered the remote-virtual business model before the “WFH way” became part of the business norm. We all operate from home offices and work the hours to suit individual lifestyle and other activities - fun, family, or favour! We deal with some of NZ's largest public and private sector organisations and have a healthy mix of contract and permanent business that shifts with the business environment. Our market is from middle management upwards, and across all professional and commercial disciplines.
Our USP
During the pandemic, the business grew significantly because we were already operating a model that the market then adopted and for us it was BAU.
So we were the first to operate the remote virtual business model, other than perhaps single desk operators who were small in numbers back then. Because we eliminated overheads, we were able to offer much lower fees without compromising quality of service to clients, and also pay much higher “commission” to Associates, whilst still retaining strong profitability.
This has meant clients who are cost conscious for professional services, often the public or Govt sector, and the not for profit sector, find our offering very attractive.
About the Opportunity:
We are not looking for someone to learn this business. You'll need to be an experienced Recruiter, possibly from within an organisation, but most likely having gained that experience by working for an external consultancy or agency. You may even have been on your own and finding it tough without the collegiality, database, and networking capability.
This is an opportunity to have the best of both worlds - flexibility to work as you want, but with colleagues to work alongside who are there to support each other.

About You:
As well as the technical recruiting capability, there are some factors and “traits” that will make you successful in this type of environment. You'll need to:
- be self-disciplined and not easily distracted
- be financially secure, because like any self-employment opportunity, it can take a moment or two to generate revenue
- work from home so will need some dedicated area to operate from
- have the the technology that allows you to connect easily with people
- have both business development and relationship management capability
- have a balance in your life and perhaps even have other personal or business interests alongside this work
