Background
A national organisation operating within a highly regulated healthcare environment is seeking a hands-on Property & Facilities Manager with project management experience to lead the delivery of facilities and construction projects across national sites. We are looking for someone who enjoys being close to delivery, managing contractors, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, and to uncompromising quality standards.
The Role
Reporting to a National Property & Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading end-to-end delivery of facilities and redevelopment projects

Defining scope, budgets, schedules and milestones

Managing contractors and consultants during construction and fit-out
-
Ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and New Zealand regulatory standards

Monitoring site quality, identifying risks early, and managing variations
-
Coordinating with operational and quality teams to minimise service disruption
-
Providing structured reporting in line with an established project management framework
About You
You are a technically capable property, facilities and project professional who:

Has at least 5 years’ inhouse experience delivering facilities and/or construction projects

Has worked in healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory, food production, or other GxP/GMP-regulated environments

Is confident managing multiple contractors and navigating compliance requirements
-
Brings strong cost control, documentation and reporting discipline
-
Is practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable influencing without direct authority
-
Is flexible when site works require oversight outside standard business hours
